Marine Memories: The Ocean We Carry Within by Patricia Furtado

82

Join Patricia Furtado de Mendonça, founder of Acqua Mater, as she shares that humankind interiorized the ocean when it was no longer entirely surrounded by it. Each human being became a “verticalized ocean”, and the existence of each individual is the soma of many memories: our cells carry all of our aquatic history – phylogenetic and ontogenetic – that precedes our birth in the terrestrial world.

Any life form originates from a liquid environment. Death is also the loss of the body’s waters. The main purpose of this meeting is to arouse reflections about the Marine Memory that each and every human being has in its genetic background and in the deep unconscious of its psyche.
