Yee Hui became a freediving and mermaid instructor in 2021 with the Singapore Freediving Academy. Prior to freediving, she was a multiple gold-medalist with her dragon boat tertiary team. She used her knowledge in sports science for her transition from a land-based sport to this underwater one. Since her debut as an athlete in 2017, she has won top positions in multiple freediving competitions and actively balances between teaching and being a competitive athlete. She wishes to help grow the freediving scene in Singapore.
