
Ariana is a marine scientist who currently supervises and runs LAMAVE’s shark and ray conservation work across the country. Her focus is on Palawan, where she has been based since 2018. She is also a National Geographic Explorer, and was the team leader of the OET Nautilus E/V Meridian 2021 project, Mālama Māno: Integration of Ancestral Intelligence with AI for Shark Conservation in the Papahānaumokuākea National Monument. An avid diver, she is a PADI Divemaster, GUE technical diver, and an IANTD cave diver.
