Diego Garcia [Canada] Professional Underwater Photographer
At the age of 24, Diego was thrusted into the world of TV, handed an underwater camera and whisked away on a 12-episode travel show across Southeast Asia. Now with 15 years experience, Diego’s video work has appeared on Discovery Channel (Daily Planet, Shark Week), National Geographic, CNN, Crime & Investigation, CNA, and has filmed in more than 25 countries. In parallel to his TV work, Diego received his first assignment as an underwater photojournalist with Asian Diver Magazine in 2005, and went on to become editor of Scuba Diver AustralAsia Magazine. Today, he is Senior Editor of both magazine titles, bridging video with print in the multimedia landscape.
Amos Nachuom [Israel] Professional Underwater Photographer
Amos is a master of photographing big animals worldwide and has freedived with blue whales, crocodiles, and great white sharks. He is one of the five people ever to swim and photograph polar bears underwater. His photographs strive to dispel the myth of “dangerous” wildlife and show harmonious interactions between man and animal. His works have appeared in international publications and have won prestigious photography awards worldwide.
Renee Capozzola [USA] Professional Underwater Photographer
Born in Southern California, Renee has dived in most remote parts of the world. As an underwater photographer, she specialises in wide-angle and split-level images. She has won over fifty accolades and her work has appeared in many dive publications and television features. She aims to increase awareness of our fragile marine ecosystems and also educates her students about the importance of conserving marine ecosystems.
Jason Isley [United Kingdom] CVO – Scuba Zoo Wildlife Conservation Film Maker & Photographer
Jason co-founded an underwater film and photography company, Scubazoo. He filmed all over the world in major productions and was a driving force behind the publication division of Scubazoo. With a great understanding of the underwater realm, Jason has captured great behavioural shots. He uses his passion for marine conservation to connect people with the underwater world in weird and wonderful ways.

Muhammad Faiz Bin Jamal [Maldives] PADI / RAID Instructor
An active PADI/RAID Instructor currently based in Fuvahmulah Scuba Club, Maldives, with working experience around Maldives from resort to local islands. Been diving with whale shark and tiger shark for the couple of years around the area, also one of the dive center member on contributing sighting data for whale shark and manta ray research program in Maldives. Recently found a new Manta Ray ID and a Whale Shark ID for Maldives territory.
Michael Aw [Australia] Ocean Advocate and Conservation Photographer
Michael Aw is the founder of Asian Geographic, Ocean Geographic and OceanNEnvironment. An ocean advocate, explorer and one of the world’s most published underwater photographers, Michael’s accolades include winning more than 68 international photography awards, with his essays and pictures published internationally. He has led documentary teams and expeditions worldwide and published award-winning books.

Gonzalo Araujo [Argentina / Switzerland] Shark Scientist, Conservationist & Expedition Leader
Dr. Gonzalo Araujo is a marine scientist and conservationist. He has been working with marine megafauna for over 10 years. He is the founder and director of Marine Research and Conservation Foundation (MARECO), a UK-based charity that works through collaborative approaches to tackle marine conservation issues working with focal species like blue sharks, eagle and mobulid rays, and whale sharks. Gonzalo is a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission Shark Specialist Group and supports the Secretariat of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS). He is a Kinship Conservation Fellow and a PADI Master Scuba Diver & Divemaster.”

Dr Klaus Stifel [Austria] Professional Underwater Photographer, Author
Originally from Vienna, Austria, Dr. Klaus M. Stiefel is a biologist teaching at the Silliman University (Philippines) Institute for Environmental and Marine Sciences. Klaus is also an underwater photographer and videographer, popular science writer and technical diving instructor. His latest books, The Lives of Gobies is out now with Asian Geographic.

In-Conversation with David Strike: Of Ghosts and Gear with Paul Strike
Paul Strike [United Kingdom] Co Founder and Managing Director of innovative equipment manufacturer, Fourth Element.
A former speaker at the U.N.’s 2017 Ocean Conference, Paul is a passionate advocate for greater ocean protection and conservation, and has played a prominent role in the Global Ghost-net Gear initiative.

Photography requires a keen eye for detail and a good set of photography equipment. Good photography requires patience. Experienced photographers and individuals alike come together, either in a panel format or a single presentation, to share their breathtaking shots in the deep blue. #2 Regular Session
Every month, we’re joined by industry experts and game changers who actively immerse themselves into the exciting world of diving. Our speakers will put forward their unique perspectives and their personal anecdotes on the unpredictable dive industry as well as their favourite dive destinations. #3 DiveTraining
The session will cover the vast world of diving, from essential skills and techniques to crash courses on dive safety to the challenging art of deep breathing. Joined by qualified dive masters, don’t miss out on learning from the pros! Regardless of your dive proficiency, this monthly session is great for refining your skills and picking up new diving tips and tricks along the way.
#4 Animal behaviour
Every month, ADEX Pixel invites a speaker to explore the fascinating kingdom of Animalia! Covering mating behaviours, migration patterns, and the many such peculiarities of animals, this session is a great informative introduction to the natural world. The oceans have fallen prey to the talons of climate change and we’re doing our part in making a change. Happening every month, come hear about what ocean activists and industry players have to say about the current climate. The challenges faced by communities and the inventive efforts in place to alleviate the crisis are some of the concerning topics discussed during these sessions.

The charming David Strike graces us in this enthralling monthly series — In Conversation with David Strike.
