Dr. Dawn Kernagis
A research scientist in human performance optimization and risk mitigation for operators in extreme environments, such as those working undersea, at altitude, and in space, Dr. Dawn Kernagis completed her PhD and postdoctoral training at Duke University. Since 1993, she has led numerous underwater exploration and conservation projects around the world including the Wakulla Springs and its surrounding caves. She was selected as an inductee into the Women Divers Hall of Fame, Class of 2016. She was one of six crew members in NASA’s 21st undersea mission, NEEMO, in 2016.
