Mikko Paasi is a Finnish professional diver. His career started in late 90’s at Ojamo mines in Finland. He is a Technical CCR Instructor Trainer, the owner of Koh Tao Divers—one of Thailand’s oldest and reputable dive centers—and the founder of the Bottomline Projects Foundation, which focuses on semi scientific exploration in overhead environments, rescue and salvage operations.
Mikko gained international recognition in 2018 as a key member of the dive team that conducted the historic Tham Luang cave rescue, saving 12 boys and their soccer coach from a flooded cave system. He also led the resent discovery of the submerged Thai mines, the longest underwater cave system in Thailand as well as the discovery of some of the largest historical wrecks in the Gulf of Thailand.
In addition to his diving achievements, Mikko is an accomplished underwater cinematographer and award winning photographer and his work can be seen in multiple documentary films, both, in front and behind the lense.
