Mike started diving in 1976. He has been a scuba instructor since 1982 in Cronulla. He has trained more than one thousand divers. Mike has done 7200 dives including 51 dive expeditions to the Great Barrier Reef and all over the Pacific including Fiji, Solomon Islands, PNG, Indonesia and Chuuk lagoon.

Favourite diving is local diving near home in Sydney and NSW. He has written hundreds of articles mainly on Marine Biology, fish and dive travel for many magazines supported by his prize winning photos. His two main passions are underwater photography and Marine Biology. He has a B. Sc and was a Biology / Science Educator for many years.

Currently, Mike is Editor and Publisher of Dive Log Australasia, Australia’s premier on line scuba diving magazine. www.divelog.net.au. He has more than three thousand photos published.

This highly researched and most informative talk is based on Mike’s photos of 32 species of sharks from across the Indo-Pacific Oceans and learning about their anatomy, behaviour and lifestyles.
