Merman Merata, aka The Golden Merman of Cebu, is the President of the Bakhaw Adventure Team, a freediving and mermaid group in Cebu. He is the exclusive partner of Cebu Ocean Park, the largest oceanarium in the Philippines, for freediving and mermaiding events. A key figure in developing mermaid performers in India, he has facilitated 14 batches of professional mermaid performers and is an admin of The Mermaids of the Philippines, one of the country’s fastest-growing mermaid communities.
