CHI FELTON / UK

Chi is a technical rebreather and advanced trimix instructor from the UK and has lived and worked in Indonesia for 5 years teaching diving and leading deep diving expeditions.

Directly after qualifying as an open water diver, Chi began training with the mindset for technical diving. Within 6 months she relocated to the Maldives, and since then has worked in the dive industry for 8 years in Europe and Asia. Her dream of exploration diving eventually led her to co-found a technical diving operation in Bunaken National Marine Park, Indonesia, where the prehistoric Coelacanth was discovered by local fishermen in the 90’s. Until now, divers have not had the equipment or logistical ability to adequately search for it.

The driving force behind deep exploration for Chi is not just the discovery of the yet unknown, but also the preservation of it. Outside of the water she is a strong advocate for ocean and environmental conservation, a climate activist, and uses her work and online platform to engage in the climate movement.
