Dr. Gonzalo Araujo is a marine scientist and conservationist. He has been working with marine megafauna for over 10 years. He is the founder and director of Marine Research and Conservation Foundation (MARECO), a UK-based charity that works through collaborative approaches to tackle marine conservation issues working with focal species like blue sharks, eagle and mobulid rays, and whale sharks. Gonzalo is a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission Shark Specialist Group and supports the Secretariat of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS). He is a Kinship Conservation Fellow and a PADI Master Scuba Diver & Divemaster.”
