Hidy Yu
Hidy started modeling at a young age of 18 and was the 2011 Miss Scuba International Ambassador. She is a dive instructor qualified by NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors) and also the Naui Worldwide Ambassador. Hidy has participated in three action movies Kick Ass Girls, Special Female Force (in production). Her hobbies include ultra trail, boxing, running, hiking, yoga, travelling, eating, movies and diving!

Doudou
Fascinated by outdoor sports since a young age, Doudou has travelled to over a hundred countries to capture the beauty of the diversified life. She is experienced at underwater and animals photography of species such as Monodon monoceros, Sardine,Piranha, Architeuthis dux, Crocodylus acutus, Python, Bull shark and Carcharodon carcharias ,including larger land animals.

Dr Robert Lockyer
Dr Robert Lockyer started diving at the age of 13. He became a certified SCUBA diver in 1984, then worked his way up to be a Rescue Diver and Dive Master with one of Australia’s leading coastal marine rescue groups, a vital part of the Australian emergency services.

Eve Young is a freelance writer, Sea Shepherd’s Ocean Quest Trainer and Ambassador for Swarovski Optik. She is also in partnership with Swarovski Optik Marine Conservation Education Program and founder of the MissVsea Marine Solution Workshop. She organises marine conservation forums, sharing research on marine conservation efforts and educating the public by raising awareness for the protection of the ocean.

Yuri Chan is the founder of the Mermaid Star (Hong Kong) Academy, a film actress, singer, and an ex-TVB artist. She has longed to become a mermaid since young and fulfilled her dream by starting a mermaid course in 2016 – the only mermaid course available in Hong Kong. Though still active in the entertainment industry, Yuri aims to promote the art of mermaiding all around the world.

Sherin Tang, Miss Scuba International and second runner up of the 2017 ADEX Mermaid Challenge is an actress and performer with a glowing stage record. Previously an actress in three major movies and musicals, Sherin has been a backup dancer for Hong Kong stars Aaron Kwok, Gigi Leung and Leon Lai and a member of girl group Hunterz. Xue now promotes mermaids, freediving and scuba diving through her book on her ocean adventures as a mermaid.

He Haohao (August Ho) practiced synchronized swimming from young, won numerous championships at the China Youth Synchronized Swimming Competition, and also placed first in the first China Mermaid Competition. August was crowned 2017 Miss Scuba International, China and she is also a Marine Environmental Protection Ambassador. After becoming the stunt performer for the ocean conservation hit movie
Mermaid, August officially became an amphibious dancer and model.

‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for contributions to Technical Diving, a Fellow of the Explorers Club of New York, and co-organiser of the biennial OZTeK Technical Diving Conference.

Wang Ao Lin is a freediving athlete. In 2015, he founded “Jie Ta Freediving School”. Ao Lin is also the president of China’s AIDA International Freediving Association. Jessea Lu is a world-renowned Chinese freediving athlete with 27 national records under her belt. She can hold her breath over eight minutes and is one of the few people ever in history to freedive in Antarctica where water temperature is at -2°C. Yorko Summer is a well-known underwater photographer from Taiwan, with more than 6,000 dives in his 15 years of scuba diving. Apart from being a senior diving instructor, Yorko is also an experienced travel journalist, photography lecturer and underwater photography competition judge. He has collaborated with reputed brands and has been invited by the tourism boards of many countries as a tourism ambassador to promote local diving sites, including Taiwan’s Green Island.

A.G. Saño is a professional photographer whose works have appeared in different international and local media. He is a conservationist who has been involved in whale and dolphin research for the past 14 years. Dr Dave Harasti is a Research Scientist for Fisheries NSW in Australia who specialises in threatened species (sharks, seahorses and turtles) and marine protected areas research. His doctorate study was on the biology, ecology and conservation of seahorses and he is one of the world experts in seahorses.

Anuar Abdullah is a self-taught artist who has worked on underwater subjects in his illustrations. His drive in art is initiated for the purpose of instilling awareness for conservation of the coral reefs and marine habitats. He started out as a scuba diver in 1985. His obsession with coral reefs led to him writing several research papers on coral rehabilitation, especially those pertaining to breeding corals in their natural environments.

Ocean is a marine conservationist and biologist specialised in shark behaviour. For more than 10 years, she has been a PADI MSDT and a competitive freediver. As founder of the non-profit, Water Inspired Conservation Group, and co-founder of One Ocean Research and Diving in Hawaii, she has designed safety programmes for diving and working with marine animals.
