Hazel Oakley is the Managing Director of Tracc, the Tropical Research And Conservation Centre. Based on Pulau PomPom, Sabah, Malaysia, Tracc works principally on reef restoration, rebuilding the ecosystem shattered by bomb fishing. They also advocate widely for shark and turtle conservation, sustainable fisheries and alternative livelihoods. Hazel says “All waste leads to the sea. The diving community is united in its commitment to clean seas and that must extend to making low waste choices a way of life.”
