AARON WONG (SINGAPORE)
Aaron Wong is one of the most published and recognised underwater photographers in Asia. With over a decade of field experience, Aaron’s images and his trademark lighting technique have won him international acclaim. Aaron has also created the campaign, SINGAPORE WITHOUT FINS, to achieve a ban on the consumption of shark fin in Singapore. Together with Asian Diver magazine and Asia Dive Expo (ADEX), the campaign aims to collect self-portraits of people covering their mouths through social media and consolidate them into a “petition of faces”.

A.G. SANO (PHILIPPINES)
A.G. Saño is a professional photographer whose works have appeared in different international and local media. He is a conservationist who has been involved in whale and dolphin research for the past 14 years. He has also done assignments on sea turtles, dugong habitats, sharks and other environmental work with reputable NGO’s and institutions such as WWF, Greenpeace, RARE, Conservation International, Silliman University, LAMAVE, PFEC, among others. He is a co founder of Balyena.org, a non profit group undertaking marine mammal conservation efforts in the country.

Alan Lo (Hong Kong)
Alan Lo is a commercial photographer based in Hong Kong and a scuba diving aficionado. Alan Lo has also been selected as “the world’s top 50 underwater photographer” for Blancpain’s “Edition Fifty Fathoms” . Alan Lo is also the only spokesperson for Seacam Hong Kong, one of the world’s top diving camera shell brand.

ANUAR ABDULLAH (MALAYSIA)
Anuar Abdullah is a self-taught artist who has worked on underwater subjects in his illustrations. His drive in art is initiated for the purpose of instilling awareness for conservation of the coral reefs and marine habitats. He started out as a scuba diver in 1985. The obsession with coral reefs led to him writing several research papers on coral rehabilitation, especially those pertaining to breeding corals in their natural environments. He has also written a textbook on coral propagation using techniques and methodology he created. Anuar now runs coral propagation programs around Malaysia.

DAVE HARASTI (AUSTRALIA)
Dr Dave Harasti is a Research Scientist for Fisheries NSW in Australia who specialises in threatened species (sharks, seahorses and turtles) and marine protected areas research. His doctorate study was on the biology, ecology and conservation of seahorses and he is one of the world experts in seahorses.

DADA LI (CHINA)
Dada Li, humbly is the first Chinese female PADI Master Freediver Instructor and AIDA international freediving instructor and Judge. Single handedly created the first professional underwater performance team composed of freedivers only. For her commitments and contributions towards her work well done, she was interviewed by Reuters, China Central Television, Guangdong TV, Jiangsu TV and other well-known Medias as well.

DAVID STRIKE (AUSTRALIA)
With a strong background in military, commercial, recreational and technical diving, David Strike authored several hundred articles about diving, is the recipient of the ADEX ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for contributions to Technical Diving, a Fellow of the Explorers Club of New York, and co-organiser of the biennial OZTeK Technical Diving Conference.

EunJae Im is an underwater photographer and videographer. He is the director and DoP at Underwater Imaging Productions (uwimage.kr), and the founder of Underwater.kr, the online community for underwater photographer & videographer in Korea. EunJae had worked on a number of broadcast & advertising productions including the National Geographic, Canon USA, Samsung, Korean Air, KBS, MBC and his award winning films and images also appear frequently in international/domestic venue, magazines and books.

Eve Young (China)
Eve Young is a freelance writer, Sea Shepherd’s Ocean Quest Trainer and Ambassador for Swarovski Optik. She is also in partnership with Swarovski Optik Marine Conservation Education Program and founder of the MissVsea Marine Solution Workshop. She organises marine conservation forums, sharing research on marine conservation efforts and educating the public by raising awareness for the protection of the ocean.

HIDY YU (HONG KONG)
Hidy started modeling at a young age of 18 and was the 2011 Miss Scuba International Ambassador. She is a dive instructor qualified by NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors) and also the Naui Worldwide Ambassador. Hidy has participated 3 action movies［Kick Ass Girls, 紅毛道士, Special Female Force (in production). Her hobbies include Ultra Trail, Boxing, Running, Hiking, Yoga, Traveling, Eating, Movies and Diving!

Jessea Lu (China)
Jessea Lu is a world-renowned Chinese freediving athlete with 27 national records under her belt. She can hold her breath over 8 minutes and is one of the few people ever in history to freedive in Antarctica where water temperature is at -2°C. She has won multiple international gold medals and is the first Chinese medalist in the world’s most prestigious freediving competitions (AIDA Freediving World Championship, Vertical Blue, Deja Blue, and Carribean Cup, etc).She also has a PhD in medicine and enjoys teaching. She is the founder of PFI.China — a freediving education institution based in China.

Jean-Pol Francois (Belgium)
Passionate Freediving Instructor for more than 27 years, active with AIDA and PADI. Participated in many AIDA World Championships as athlete and International Judge Instructor. Together with Suzy, another passionate Instructor, they founded a few years ago Freediving Planet in the Philippines and Hong Kong with objective to promote quality and safety in Freediving Education.

Lee is a South Korean actress and entrepreneur. She won the top prize in the Super Elite Model Best Talent Awards in 1998, and made her entertainment debut in 2003 as a member of the Kpop girl group THE S (더에스). Afterwards, Lee ventured into acting, appearing in successful television dramas, and also playing a lead role in the stage musical The Golden Days in 2011. After learning scuba diving in Saipan in 2010, she fell in love with the ocean and has since shown her affection towards its beauty. Lee regularly sponsors children through Compassion International, an organization founded in 1952 to help children orphaned by war in South Korea.

TIM HO (MALAYSIA)
Tim Ho left the city in 2009 to become a full-time dive instructor, but today he sees himself as just a “full-time diver”. When he’s not teaching dive courses, he works as a videographer on a liveaboard as well as contributes photos and articles to various magazines. He also organises specialised “dive and shoot” trips for people who want to do two-hour-long dives with the best guides and spotters available. Over the years, Tim’s adventures have seen him based across Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, but he is currently spending his time in the Philippines.

Wu Li Xin (Taiwan)
Lixin Wu is a tek diver and professional underwater photographer who has many accolades to his name, such as the Silver award for macro photography at the 11th World Underwater Photography Championships. Wu is also a contract photographer with Chinese National Geography, as well as a member of the China Artistic Photography Academy.

Yorko Summer (Taiwan)
Yorko Summer is a well-known underwater photographer from Taiwan, with more than 6,000 dives in his 15 years of scuba diving. Apart from being a senior diving instructor, Yorko is also an experienced travel journalist, photography lecturer and underwater photography competition judge. He has collaborated with reputed brands, and has been invited by the tourism boards of many countries as a tourism ambassador to promote local diving sites, including Taiwan’s Green Island.

Yuri Chan (Hong Kong)
Yuri Chan is the founder of the Mermaid Star (Hong Kong) Academy, a film actress, singer, and an ex-TVB artist. She has longed to become a mermaid since young, and fulfilled her dream by starting a mermaid course in 2016 – the only mermaid course available in Hong Kong. Though still active in the entertainment industry, Yuri aims to promote the art of mermaiding all around the world.
